Intersections.

These photographs explore boundaries, intersections, and juxtapositions in the American landscape. By resisting a singular message, they insist upon a way of seeing, or a habit of angling oneself to the surroundings, that allows for a world that is layered, surprising, sometimes delightful, sometimes lamentable, and always changing.

(Un)documented.

Since the invention of photography, the camera has been used to record and bear witness. This seemingly simple feature of the medium is a powerful one. To be “undocumented” is to be invisible. These photographs attempt to work against this cloak of invisibility.
